Aviapin Boeing 747-436 G-CIVG Pin Badge - ex British Airways aircraft

£14.00

This very limited edition is available in white and in blue, mounted on a collectable backing card featuring an illustration of the aircraft and information about the particular airframe on the back. The pin-badge is made from authentic aircraft skin featuring the original British Airways paint and includes a sprung locking pin back, for an extra secure fixing. The badge is 18mm across.

G-CIVG entered BA service in 1995 and flew thousands of flights until retirement in 2019. VG was withdrawn from service before the pandemic but was joined by many siblings in 2020 after the airline announced the sudden withdrawal of all its remaining 747s. The aircraft was broken up by e-Cube Solutions at their base at St Athan airport in South Wales.

VG will be followed by further releases from other BA 747 airframes. Follow @aviapin on Instagram to see details as they are released.

Please note that due to the active life of the fuselage skin from which these pieces are made, there can be some variation in colour and finish. Some have scratches on the paintwork, but these are not faults; they are evidence of the millions of miles flown by this aircraft through freezing rain and baking sun.
